Daniele Sibilli

I photographed Daniele Sibilli in December 2023 and, during the shoot, invited him to collaborate on a moving image piece as well. The project evolved organically into a dance film. Daniele selected the song “I Miss You” by Björk and responded instinctively to the music, allowing the performance to unfold intuitively.

We spent most of the day working in a blackout studio, where I explored the relationship between his body and the surrounding darkness. The lighting was used to reveal only fleeting, high-contrast impressions of form, allowing movement to surface in fragments rather than as a fully defined figure. These emerging shapes fascinated me.
